Where does SeekOut's Industry information come from?

The industry listed for each candidate is self-reported. That means that candidates decide what industry they are a part of. Many candidates align their industry with their organization, but some candidates align their industry with their job function.

For example, most candidates who work for Twitter have listed their industry as Computer & Internet, but there are a good number of candidates who have listed Advertising & Marketing and Media & Broadcasting, too.
