This article is for setting up a two-way integration between SeekOut and Lever. To learn about the one-way export feature, see our article here.
Sort through candidate data from your ATS using SeekOut's powerful search engine and filters. Your Lever data is mirrored within SeekOut every day, and SeekOut enriches your data with social links, work history, and education. Lever Stage and Status filters are available in a collapsible search menu.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to Lever's data API in order to integrate with SeekOut. Lever support can help you enable data API for your organization.
- Lever Enterprise and Lever Professional are supported.
Setting up Lever
Login to Lever and go to Settings > Integrations and API. Select the API Credentials tab and click Generate New Key under the Lever API credentials section.
Click Copy Key and save it somewhere safe. You'll need to enter this key in SeekOut later.
Scroll down and select the following permissions:
Click Done to complete this step.
Setting up the Lever Integration
Click your initials at the top right of the SeekOut dashboard, then select Integrations.
Don't see the Integrations option in your menu? Contact your Customer Success Manager or email@example.com and ask to enable ATS integrations for your org.
Connecting to Lever
On the Integrations page, locate Lever Rediscovery and click the Connect button. Leave Lever in the Name field, and enter your API Key. Select Production from the Environment dropdown menu and click Save to complete your integration.
When successful, Lever will appear under the section My Organization's Integrations with the label "Connected."
Removing the Integration
Click the horizontal three-dot button next to a connected integration to Edit or Remove the integration from your SeekOut account.
The ATS is connected and has started indexing candidates from Lever into SeekOut. The initial indexing process will run in a full index mode. Full index processing time can vary depending on the number of candidates and amount of candidate data in your system. Not all candidates will be visible in the Your ATS tab during the indexing phase.
After indexing has completed, the integration will switch to delta mode and index any changes in candidate data. The integration connection status will change to Connected.
Connected / Start ATS Search
Candidates have been indexed from Lever into SeekOut. Candidates can be viewed in the Your ATS tab. The index of Lever candidates is updated every four hours.
Click Start ATS Search to go to the Your ATS tab.
How to use Rediscovery
Click Your ATS on the Search page to display candidates from Lever.
Your ATS has the same search functions that are available in the Public Profiles tab. Use keywords, Boolean, power filters, and diversity filters to refine your search.
Unique features in Your ATS
The Your ATS tab has two additional features:
- A set of filters specific to your ATS (highlighted in blue below)
- The candidate's status, job application, resume, and contact information from Lever (highlighted in yellow below)
ATS Filters (blue)
The following filter categories are viewable on the Your ATS tab:
- Rejection Reason
- Name of the recruiter assigned to the candidate in the ATS
- Last Updated
The exact filters available will depend on the data in your Lever instance. For example, if your org does not have any candidates assigned to the Technical Phone Screen stage, then that filter will not be shown in SeekOut.
Candidate ATS Status (yellow)
An overview of the candidate's status in Lever.
- Date updated
- View in Lever link
- Click this link to open the candidate's profile in your ATS
- This is the candidate's email from your ATS, not from SeekOut
- This is the candidate's phone number from your ATS, not from SeekOut
SeekOut aggregates candidate data from your ATS and displays interactive charts for diversity, location, current/previous company, job title, and much more. Hover your mouse over a row to see how many candidates share that data point, and click on a row or use filters to refine your results even further.
