SeekOut for Healthcare

SeekOut for Healthcare extends the candidate pool available to you by enriching millions of existing healthcare worker profiles with data from the National Provider Identifier Standard (NPI) database, as well as adding hundreds of thousands of new prospects to the talent pool.

This feature is available for users with Healthcare or Enterprise + Healthcare licenses.

SeekOut for Healthcare extends the candidate pool available to you by enriching millions of existing healthcare worker profiles with data from the National Provider Identifier Standard (NPI) database, as well as adding hundreds of thousands of new prospects to the talent pool. In addition, SeekOut offers unique filters to refine your search when sourcing for nurses, clinical workers, physicians, medical researchers, and other licensed healthcare professionals.

Access SeekOut for Healthcare

Click Search in the left navigation pane, then select the Healthcare tab at the top of the page. If your account has access to multiple talent pools such as Github and Expert, you may need to select More and then choose Healthcare from the dropdown menu.

Choose the talent pool you want to use before beginning your search.

Candidate profiles in the Healthcare pool are enriched with data from the NPI database, including the location and phone number of their practice. Use keywords or Boolean to search through the pool, or use SeekOut's custom filters.

Talent Pools

In addition to filtering by criteria like location and job title, the Healthcare tab has several unique filters you can use to source candidates. The types of filters you can use depend on the talent pool you've selected.

  • Nurses includes Register Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and more.

  • Other Clinical Providers includes doctors, therapists, lab techs, and other medical experts.

  • Non-clinical healthcare staff includes candidates with experience in administration, IT, marketing, operations, and other roles in the healthcare industry.

Filters

SeekOut's filters allow you to search for complex candidate attributes with a few simple clicks. The Filters panel is located on the Search page, to the left of candidate profiles.

Select option 1 - Manage Filters to manage basic filters such as location and company. Select option 2 - More Power Filters to manage complex power filters for specialty roles.

Check the box next to a filter to apply it to your search. Candidate profiles to the right will be updated to reflect the new filter.

Click the three-dot menu button at the top of your filters panel, then select Manage Filters to open the Filter Customization pop-up.

2. More Power Filters

Power Filters look for candidates with special skills or backgrounds. Find the Power Filters section in the filters panel, and click More Power Filters to open the Power Filters pop-up.

Power Filters look for candidates with nursing specialties. Scroll through the list of specialties or type a keyword in the Search Power Filters field to find the specialty you want. Check the box next to a power filter to apply it to your search. Click the Star next to a filter to add it to your Favorites list.

Up to five Power Filters can be combined at one time.

Power Filters can be combined with keywords, Boolean, and other basic filters to create targeted search queries. See the article Boolean & Field-Based Search for more information about using Boolean in SeekOut's keywords field.

Change Display Order of Filters

Click View All Filters at the bottom of the filter list to choose which filters you want to see on the Healthcare search page. Click to drag filters to re-order them from top to bottom.

Healthcare Profiles

Candidate profiles show the prospect's name, current title, current company, location, any nursing licenses they have, as well as a brief synopsis of their experience and education.

  • Get Email - look up the candidate's available email contact information. Uses one contact credit. See the article How Contact Info Credits are Counted for more information.

  • Get Phone - look up the candidate's available phone numbers. Uses one contact credit.

  • More

    • Message - Create a Quick Message to send to the candidate. See the article How do I send a Single Email to a Candidate? for more information.

    • Send Letter - Type a letter and send it to the candidate automatically via USPS. Uses one postal credit. See the section Sending Letters below for more information.

    • Add Tag - Add a tag to the candidate profile. See the article Tags and Statuses for more information.

    • Add Private Notes - add private notes to the candidate profile. Private notes are only visible to you.

    • Add Email - add an email address to the candidate profile.

    • Add Phone - add a phone number to the candidate profile.

    • Export - Export the candidate profile to a PDF.

Unmatched Profiles

Clinical workers without a public presence (such as a LinkedIn profile) can be sorted by using the Has Public Profile filter. A profile is considered unmatched if the candidate does not have a public profile.

State and Location filters use the candidate's location of their practice from the NPI database if their profile is unmatched.

Healthcare Insights

Access insights for your search at any time by selecting Healthcare Insights at the top of the search page.

The insights feature gives you a birds-eye view of your candidate pool with illustrative and interactive graphs. These graphs update in real-time as you select more filters and enter more keywords & Boolean.

SeekOut provides a comprehensive pool of nursing candidates in the US searchable by state of licensure, specialty, years with an active license, and more.

Sending Letters

To send an automated letter via USPS to a nursing prospect, click More on their profile and choose Send Letter.

Click More on the candidate's profile and select Send Letter to send them a letter via USPS.

In the pop-up that appears click Edit to enter your return mailing address, then click Next to compose your email.

Enter your address and click Next to compose your letter.

Type your message or select a template message from the dropdown menu, then click Preview to preview your letter. When previewing your letter click Back to go back and edit your message, or click Send to use one postal credit and send the letter to the prospect via USPS.

Create and Edit Letter Templates

Go to the Messaging section and select the Templates tab. Click Create Template to open the template creation pop-up. Enter a name for your letter in the Template Name and Subject fields, and the letter body in the Message Body field. Click Save to save your template.

To edit an existing template, go to the Templates tab in the Messaging section. Click on a template name to open the Edit Template pop-up. Make your changes and click Save to save your template.
