SeekOut integrates with Workable, allowing you to export candidate data from SeekOut and turn it into Workable candidate profiles complete with contact information and work/education history. Candidate data can be sent to Workable as prospects, or they can be attached to an existing job.
This article covers how to set up your integration, as well as how to export candidate info from SeekOut to Workable.
Setting up the Workable Integration
Before You Begin
You'll need an Authentication Token and your API HostName from your Workable account.
Generate a New Authentication Token
Click here to open your Workable Integrations page and click Generate new token. After a brief moment, your new access token will appear.
Copy this token somewhere safe; you'll be entering it into SeekOut.
Find Your API HostName
Login to your Workable account and visit the Company Profile Settings page. Find your Subdomain below your Company name.
Save this subdomain to a safe place; you'll need to enter this into SeekOut.
Click your initials at the top right of the SeekOut dashboard, then select Integrations.
Don't see the Integrations option in your menu? Contact your Customer Success Manager or firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to enable ATS integrations for your org.
Connecting to Workable
On the Integrations page, locate Workable One-Way Export and click Connect. Enter your Auth Token. In the API HostName field, enter the following:
Replace [subdomain] with the Subdomain you saved from your Workable account.
Click Save. The first time you set up an integration, a connection test will automatically begin.
Testing Your Integration
SeekOut automatically tests your integration after the first time you set it up. Select a job from the dropdown list and click Send Test Candidate to export a test candidate to your ATS.
When successful, Workable will appear under the section My Organization's Integrations with the label "Connected." Test your integration again at any time by returning to the integrations page, clicking the three-dot menu next to the name, selecting Edit, and then click Test.
What do I do if my test was unsuccessful?
Confirm that your info is entered correctly in the integration pop-up. If you make any changes to your info, click Save first and then click Test to try again with your updated credentials.
If you've confirmed your connection info is correct and you're still unable to connect, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or email email@example.com for assistance.
Removing the Integration
Click the horizontal three-dot button next to a connected integration to Edit or Remove the integration from your SeekOut account. Removing an integration will delete your credentials, and you will have to re-enter them if you want to connect again.
Exporting from SeekOut to Workable
Recommended: Export from a project
To export all candidates in a project to Workable, go to your SeekOut project, click the Export icon and choose Export All to Workable.
Contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers will only appear in your export if you click Get Email for All and Get Phone for All before exporting.
Alternatively, you can export select candidates from SeekOut by clicking the box next to their profile, clicking Export and then selecting Export X to Workable. With both methods, clicking Export to Workable will cause a pop-up window will appear.
You can select a job from the dropdown menu or export the candidates as prospects. If you don't have email addresses for all candidates, check the box Generate dummy email addresses for candidates. Click the Export button to export candidates to Workable. When successful, you will see a confirmation pop-up message that says "Export Complete."
